VSOL’s new product 1 PON port GPON OLT V1600GS has been launched, which is mainly produced to make up for the absence of GPON miniaturization device. Although it’s smaller than the previous devices, its performance is about the same. The interfaces are highly integrated. There is 1 GPON port, 2 RJ45 ports, and 1 10GE SFP+ port.

Q1: What’s the port difference of V1600GS?
A1: V1600GS change the PON port from plug-and-play into bosa(inside).
Q2: What’s the advantages of OLT-PON-bosa?
A2: The bosa of OLT level can be used for 10-15 years or even longer. The PON port of the traditional method is often unplugged, there is a risk of short circuiting with the gold finger of the PCB board, thus burning out the device.
Q3: Is there difficulty in heat dissipation due to the device without a fan?
A3: Generally, there is no problem. The existing heat dissipation design has been verified that it can still operate stably in high-temperature scenarios of minus 40 degrees and 65 degrees. A version with a fan will be launched later to allow the device to adapt to harsher environments.
Q4: The device can’t be installed on the rack, how to solve the problem?
A4: We’ll add the design of the suspension loop.
Q5: Most terminals don’t support COM port and require the adaptor of RJ-45 to DB-9 (or RJ-45 to DB-25). Is there other replacement?
A5: A null-modem (serial) cable of USB to RJ45 is also available.
