Introduction

VST App is an application provided by Guangzhou V-SOLUTION Telecommunication Technology Co., Ltd and its affiliates (hereinafter referred to as “V·SOL” or “we”) to provide you with router management, WiFi management and other services.

We understand the importance of your personal information and appreciate the trust you place in us. Through this policy, we want to explain to you how we handle and safeguard personal data during your use of V·SOL’s products, services and other apps to which this Privacy Policy applies (collectively, “our products and/or services”). It is important that you read and understand this Privacy Policy carefully before using our Products and/or Services and confirm that you fully understand and agree to it before using our Products and/or Services.

I. We will collect the following information:

(i) Functions necessary to realize the management and control of the router

1. Upgrade services

V·SOL product software upgrade: We will collect the country code information of the mobile device you use (cell phone, tablet, etc.) so that we can notify you in time that new product software is available to provide you with a better experience.

2.Device Management

We will collect your mobile device location information, mobile device MAC address, and mobile device IP address when the App is running (including when it is running in the background), so that you can use the device management function normally, so that you can determine whether your mobile device is connected to the managed WiFi, and recognize whether the device currently connected to WiFi is the mobile device you are using, so as to prevent your mobile device from mistakenly being added to the blacklist, and so on.

3.Router Related Settings

When you use the router related settings (e.g. wireless settings, internet settings, user management, device upgrade), it will involve the WiFi disconnection between your mobile device and our products and/or services that you use. In order to facilitate your mobile device to automatically reconnect to WiFi, we will obtain the location information of your mobile device to provide you with a better experience.

4. Regional Services

When you use our products and/or services, we will collect the country code, time zone, and language information of your mobile device, so that we can determine your country and region to provide you with specific features and services, and to ensure that the features related to the time you use our products and/or services work properly.

5. Login Registration

We will collect your VST App account and password information so that you can automatically log in when you access the VST App again .

(ii) Functions Necessary for Wi-Fi Security

In order to improve system security when you use our products and/or services and to prevent access by hackers or unauthorized persons, we collect your Environmental Characteristic Value (ECV) (a value generated by the VST App account number, mobile device unique identifier information, connected Wi-Fi account number, and location information) in order to authenticate the user’s identity.

IIHow we use the information

Generally speaking, after obtaining your consent, based on the purpose of providing you with router management, WiFi management and other services, we will reasonably collect and use your personal information, but please be fully aware that in the following cases, we do not need to obtain your consent for the collection and use of personal information:

1. Related to the fulfillment of our obligations under laws and regulations;

2. Related to national security and national defense security;

3. Related to public safety, public health, and significant public interests;

4. In connection with criminal investigation, prosecution, trial and judgment execution;

5. In order to protect your or other people’s life, property and other important legal rights and interests but it is difficult to obtain your consent;

6. The personal information collected is disclosed by you to the public;

7. Your personal information is collected by us from legally disclosed channel, such as legal news report, government information disclosure, etc;;

8. Is necessary for the conclusion of a contract at your request;

9. Necessary to maintain the safe and stable operation of our products and/or services, such as to detect and dispose of faults in our products and/or services;

10. Necessary to conduct statistical or academic research in the public interest, and when providing the results of academic research or descriptions to the public, to de-identify the personal information contained in the results.

III. Your rights

If you are an EU user under the administration of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

1. restrict our processing of your personal information and we will consider the reasonableness of the restriction request. If there is a provision in the GDPR, we will only process your personal information in a manner that complies with the applicable provisions of the GDPR and will notify you before lifting the restriction.

2. You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing (including profiling) that could have legal effects on you or have a similarly significant impact on you.

3. You have the right to receive your personal information in a commonly used structured format and to transmit this information to another data controller.

4. You have the right to cancel your VSOL WiFi ID account. When you cancel your account, you will no longer be able to log in the VST App or use our products or services. If you decide to cancel your account after careful consideration, you can contact us at any time by sending an email to support@vsolcn.com to cancel your account. For those that require manual processing, we will complete the processing within 15 business days. After canceling your account, we will delete your personal information at your request, except as otherwise provided by laws and regulations.

IV. Security Measures of V·SOL

In order to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure or other similar risks, We have implemented reasonable management measures to protect the personal information we lawfully collect from the VSOL VST APP,, such as:

(1) We will appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO) responsible for data protection, and the DPO can be reached at support@vsolcn.com ;

(2) Establishing a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA);

(3) We will sign non-disclosure agreements with employees who are responsible for the collection and use of personal information.

We will try to protect your personal information by all possible means. However, you should be aware that the use of the Internet is not always secure, and therefore we cannot guarantee the absolute security of any personal information when transmitted in the Internet.

In the unfortunate event of a personal data breach, we will take appropriate measures, such as notifying the relevant supervisory authority of the breach or, in some cases, informing you of the personal data breach in accordance with the laws, including your local data protection laws.

V. Updates to this Privacy Policy

(i) V·SOL may revise and update this policy from time to time. You may obtain the most current version of the terms of this policy by visiting www.vsol.com.cn/privacy-policy/vst-privacy-policy.

(ii) We will not reduce your rights under this Policy without your express consent. For Significant changes, we will notify you by push notifications, pop-ups, sending emails, and so on.

(iii) Significant changes referred to in this policy include but are not limited to:

1. Significant changes in our service model. Such as changes in the purpose, type, and manner of processing personal information;

2. Significant changes in our ownership structure, organizational structure, etc.. Such as changes in ownership caused by business adjustments, mergers, acquisitions, amalgamations, bankruptcy, reorganization, etc;

3. The main object of entrusting, sharing, transferring or publicly disclosing user information is added or changed;

4. Significant changes in your rights and the way you exercise them when using our services;

5. When there is a change in the department responsible for handling personal information security, contact information and complaint channels;

6. When the user information security impact assessment report indicates that there is a high risk.
